Additionally, the cable can provide power for charging your devices and can link up to six Thunderbolt 3 devices as part of a serial connection. It is backwards compatible, capable of providing speeds of up to 10Gbps for USB3.1 devices, speeds of up to 5Gbps for USB3.0 devices, and speeds of up to 480Mbps for USB2.0 devices
